Idea Formation

Cronote was an idea born in Irvine, CA late one December evening between two friends who wanted to create a simple, novel solution to an everyday problem: forgetfulness.

During a brainstorming session at Aaron’s apartment, we realized that — first and foremost — the software we create needs to be one that we will use ourselves. It needed to be meaningful and useful to the both of us. Ideally, it would also be kind of cool.

So, what are some problems that *we* encounter everyday with one another?

The answer to that was easy. Seldom does a day go by where I don’t have to remind Aaron to do something. Pick up the batteries. Meet me at the gym. Brush your teeth. (Just kidding.) It would be great if there was a tool that could aid us both in remembering to complete tasks at the right time. While technology has evolved in ways to make our lives more efficient, it has also been detrimental in raising the bar on what we’re expected to do. With the number of tasks we’re asked to do each day at work, at school, and at home, it’s easy to forget the little things that don’t always merit being put on a calendar.

Cronote was created to change the way you remember. Send a message into the future. Schedule a reminder for yourself, a coworker, friend, or family member. Take the burden of remembering off of people and put it on Cronote.

There are many ways to use Cronote and its capabilities have grown with time, but the story behind us remains the same. We want to make your life easier — through the power of Cronote!
